Get Runway-Ready with Tax-Free Week Fall Fashion Guide
Rushing to buy things for the last few days of CT's tax-free week, but don't have an idea of what will be 'hot' this fall? Patch found the expert tips for your Fall Fashion must-haves.
Connecticut created the weeklong tax holiday to coincide with back-to-school shopping to help make buying children’s school clothing more affordable, and to help boost retail sales for business owners in the state. Under the program sales of most clothing and footwear that costs less than $300 is exempt from the state’s sales tax.
Une Minette and krik-it are both located at 5 River Road in the Stop and Shop Plaza. Both stores are celebrating their five year anniversary in Wilton, and will mark it the weekend of Sept. 14-16 with activities throughout the weekend, including trunk shows, face painting, and hair feathering and chalking. To kick things off, The Blue Jean Bar, a travelling boutique with denim-fit specialists and more than 500 pairs of jeans will be visiting Une Minette on Sept. 12-13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
