A New Face on New Canaan Patch

We welcome your news and views and New Canaan Patch!

Hi, New Canaan Patch readers!

My name is Jaimie Cura and I'm a Patch local editor who will be working as part of the New Canaan Patch team. Among the many hats we wear at Patch, I'll be answering your e-mails and helping you connect with your neighbors and the community through Patch.

We will continue to bring you New Canaan's news with the help of our dedicated staff of professional journalists. At Patch, we also know that some of the best contributions that you look forward to reading on Patch come right from your neighbors.

It's those contributions — yours! — that imbue Patch with New Canaan's unique character and that help make the site so great. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and helping you make use of all the awesome features on the site, including:

I'll be hosting a meet-and-greet in town in the coming days and will keep you posted on the date, time and location. In the meantime, here's how you can reach me:

A Little About Me

I've always been an avid reader and writer. I graduated from Naugatuck Valley Community College and then earned a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Southern Connecticut State University.

Before joining the Patch team in August 2011 as the local editor of Woodbury-Middlebury Patch, I worked for the Connecticut Post and Voices newspapers.

My five favorite things: a good cup of coffee, used bookstores, snails, Halloween and Godzilla movies.

Drop me a line, and please look out for my notice for a Patch Office Hours in New Canaan soon where I look forward to meeting many of you — the coffee is on us!
