Metro-North: Last Train to New Canaan Will Arrive at 1:14 p.m. Saturday

The MTA announces the schedule of last trains before its service suspension begins tomorrow.

The Saturday 12:57 p.m. from Stamford to New Canaan will be the last New Canaan Branch train before Metro-North . 

An announcement on the MTA website said it will suspend all train service beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.27 "due to the expected severity of the storm.

"Shutting down the system allows Metro-Nrth to secure and protect its equipment and infrastructure from the hurricane force winds and flooding expected to hit the territory on Sunday, Aug. 28," the announcement said.

Grand Central terminal and all Metro-North station buildings will be closed for the duration of the service suspension.

The MTA is asking customers to travel as soon as possible, and not wait until the last minute.

New Haven Line:

  • 12:07 p.m. train from Grand Central to New Haven arriving at 1:54 p.m.
  • 12:10 p.m. train from Grand Central to Stamford arriving at 1:17 p.m.
  • 12:03 p.m. train from Stamford to Grand Central arriving at 1:09 p.m.
  • 11:56 a.m. train from New Haven to Grand Central arriving at 12:43 p.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. and 11:56 a.m. trains from New Haven, which will make all stops to Grand Central.

 

New Canaan Branch:

  • 12:57 p.m. train from Stamford to New Canaan arriving at 1:14 p.m.
  • 12:27 p.m. train from New Canaan to Stamford arriving at 12:43 p.m.
