Negligent Homicide Case Against New Canaan Teen Continued to July 6

New Canaan High School student Brianna McEwan was allegedly using her smart phone when she hit Kenneth Dorsey of Norwalk, who was jogging New Canaan Avenue in Norwalk just over the town line.

Court proceedings against 16-year-old New Canaan High School student Brianna McEwan, who is for allegedly striking and killing Kenneth Dorsey of Norwalk while driving on New Canaan Avenue March 24, were reportedly disrupted by a power outage at state on Friday.

As a result, the state's case against McEwan, , has been continued to July 6, according to a report in the Stamford Advocate.

Police said McEwan was using her smart phone when she hit Dorsey, who was jogging New Canaan Avenue in Norwalk just over the town line. She if convicted.
