A total of 22 inches of snow fell on New Canaan in this weekend's blizzard, according to record keepers for the National Weather Center.
New Canaan's snowfall was only the tenth-highest in Fairfield County (Fairfield's was much worse, with 35 inches recorded). In the state, Hamden was listed with the highest snowfall amount—40 inches.
New London County, which received high winds and the most power outages in the state, had about the same depth of snow as Fairfield County.
