Book Signing: Crime Thriller Blurs Lines Between Death, the Spirit and the Internet

          Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak predicts that computers will develop a consciousness, and celebrated physicist Stephen Hawkins believes that our brains could be copied to computers to allow life after death.

         Meet Westport author E.J. Simon who plays with these ideas in his new book, “Death Never Sleeps,” leaving one to ponder where life ends and death begins. He will sign books from noon to 2:30 p.m.

         In the book Alex Nicholas, a consummate Queens bookie, is murdered. Fortunately, before the shooting, he had installed specialized software on a secret laptop: a program that would allow him to live forever.
