the Westport
Domestic Violence Task Force, Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 8:00 p.m.
Voices Café at The Unitarian
Church in Westport, 10 Lyons Plains Road, Westport.

Brother Sun, known for
their harmonies as much as their lyrics, tell what they are about: warm as a
campfire, stirring as a gospel church, rousing as a call to arms. Calling upon
contemporary songwriting, and informed by the deep roots of gospel, blues, and
folk, the trio weaves a tapestry of harmony that is brilliantly fresh and yet
familiar.

Brother Sun performed at
Voices Café in April, 2011.  According to David Vita, Voices Café
Committee member, “The audience was so blown away by Brother Sun’s performance;
we immediately booked them to open up season three.”
