Nicholas Dawes, Heritage Auction appraiser well-known for his frequent appraisals on PBS's Antiques Road Show, will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Connecticut Ceramics Study Circle.

His illustrated presentation will address the robust manufacture of Victorian ceramics in the context of social, economic, political, and technical events of the time.

Majolica ware will be featured, a favorite of Mr. Dawes, who grew up in the Potteries in England and has 40 years experience in the world of antique ceramics.

Refreshments are always served at the close of the lecture.  All are welcome.

Marilyn, I agree with you. Patch: do you not have any guidelines for user postings? If it's aRead More commercial notice, as this clearly is, then the business should identify itself as the entity posting this. I opened it thinking this was a New Canaan resident posting an opinion on a local topic.
