Many of us are familiar with the classic tale of Disney's 101 Dalmatians, but this year’s musical production by Saxe’s Fifth and Sixth graders, their interpretation of the beloved classic is not to be missed! Audience members will be talking well after the sets have been taken down about the wonderful assortment of loveable dog costumes and melodic songs.  Be prepared to be entertained by old favorites like “Cruella DeVil” and “Kanine Krunchies” while enjoying the fabulous acting, singing, and dancing in the aisles!  Under the expert direction of Lauren Sherwood, stage manager Matt Blank, along with Joe Gergle, musical director and Maggie Pennoyer, art director, audiences will watch in amazement as the Saxe Middle School auditorium transforms into the city of London and human owners Robert and Anita live happily with Dalmatian parents Pongo and Perdita as they raise their Dalmatian puppies. Everything is quiet until the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat! Through these talented children, audience memebers will delight in joining all the dogs of London as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

Performance dates are Friday, November 9 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, November 10 at 2:00 pm in Saxe’s Auditorium.  Assigned seating tickets are $10 each and will be on sale online through the Saxe PTC website and one hour prior to each performance.

Over ninety students have dedicated three afternoons per week to practice their singing and dancing routines.  Working under the creative direction of Ms. Pennoyer, students in the 5th and 6th grade also volunteered as stage crew members and have been helping transform the traditional auditorium into the city of London.

Come and support Saxe 5th and 6th graders while experiencing the excitement of a delightfully fun score, lovable characters, and one of the most deliciously evil villains in the Disney canon.   This stage adaptation is certain to charm and delight all audiencesthis November.

Where DIDN'T you learn to write?? Jane Himmel May 22, 2013 at 01:27 pm "This has CONVINCED MYRead More GROWING CONVICTION that Patch has moved complete..."

I just called Staples. This is really disturbing to me. If I don't get a satisfactory answer, IRead More will let people know and I will also decide whether to continue shopping there. I do not like to give my money to unethical businesses.

This has convinced my growing conviction that Patch has moved completely away from any pretense ofRead More being a news source and is simply an electronic bulletin board. By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.

Tom, the tree warden doesn't just "put in trees and take them down" just like that. ThereRead More is a reason behind every tree that has come down or gone up. Whats with this town and trees anyway? It seems like a huge source of controversy...they are TREES.

if they had done it at night at least it wouldn't have been smudged. BUT, i happen to think itsRead More nice, and especially with the flags hanging. we forget we are a small new england town, and small things like the red white and blue stripes remind me that we still are! :)
