What’s buzzing at the Nature Center? The opening of our new Honey Bee Exhibit in the Discovery Room! Come join our Naturalists as we explore this fun, interactive exhibit, learning about the art of beekeeping and the importance of bees to our ecosystems. Enjoy making “bee-autiful” arts & crafts, such as honey wax candles and build-your-own antennae, before buzzing to the “bee-at” of the Waggle Dance!
Stay for an interactive workshop! At 10AM adults will have the opportunity to meet the folks with the Backyard Beekeepers Association to learn how honey makes an excellent lip balm. At 11am, the entire family is invited to discover the ins and outs of beekeeping. Workshop space is limited so be here early to participate!
