Health Promotion Program Leader Training Orientation

Volunteers Needed!

Professionals and volunteers are needed to facilitate the Live Well program, a nationwide evidence based health promotion program developed by Stanford University. Sponsored by Southwestern CT Agency on Aging (SWCAA), the State Department on Aging, and CT Department of Public Health, Live Well is for older adults who want to learn ways to manage their ongoing chronic health issues such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, lung and heart disease, chronic pain and depression. Live Well is an interactive community based workshop series meeting weekly for six weeks that covers topics such as healthy eating, exercise, relaxation, better balance, decision making, goal setting, effective communication, and much more. SWCAA provides free training and materials. The annual four day Leader Training is scheduled for May 6, 7, 13, 14, 2015.
