Roundtable Discussion on the Heroin Epidemic and Use of Narcan

What: Connecticut – and the rest of the nation – is currently in the midst of a heroin epidemic that has spread beyond inner city use and resulted in a rise in overdose-related deaths. Recently the Connecticut Department of Public Health gave the green light for first responders to carry Narcan, the anti-overdose spray, but work remains to get the kits into the right hands. 
  
Join a group of panelists including local emergency personnel in a discussion on heroin, Narcan and the importance of making the public aware of how serious a problem this has become in our communities. The discussion is co-sponsored by the Fairfield Public Library and Fairfield resident Kevin Coyner, firefighter for the Town of Greenwich and candidate for State Representative.
