High School 'Turkey Drive' for Food Bank

Thanksgiving "Turkey Drive" will benefit the The Foodbank of Lower Fairfield County. Turkeys contributed will be donated to a family in need. Checks are also gratefully accepted.

Frozen turkeys (17-20 pounds) may be dropped at the high school 6:45-9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17. The collection point is located at the front entrance.

In lieu of Turkeys, checks may be made out to the Foodbank of Lower Fairfield County.

Students are encouraged to make their own cash/check donations during lunch in the cafeteria starting the week of Nov. 15. 

Turkey Drive organizers reported that the food bank helped to distribute 11,000 turkeys to families in need in lower Fairfield County last year, and that this year it is estimated that about 15,000 turkeys will be needed.
