On Saturday, October 2, New Canaan Fire will be hosting their annual open house. This comes in conjunction with national fire prevetion week. The event will be from 10am-2pm at the firehouse, 60 Main Street.

In addition to being able to try out a fire hose, tours of the firehouse, and firefighters in gear. This year's open house will have a Fire Simulation Trailer where children can practice the correct way to exit a burning building in case of an emergency.

Firefighters will be there to show the proper use of fire extinguishers, using the Bullex system. The Bullex system, uses controlled fire and water powered extinguisher to help learn the correct techniques.
