Senior Men's Club of New Canaan Meeting

SMCNC Press Release, Jeb Walker 07.08.11  The State of the Town of New Canaan

Jeb Walker, First Selectman of the Town of New Canaan, will speak to the Senior Men’s Club of New Canaan at St. Mark’s Church on Friday, July 8th at 10:00 AM. Jeb is expected to review the extensive budget, plans for capital improvements, New Canaan debt coverage and bond ratings.

The SMCNC looks forward to a wide-ranging report and what taxpayers can expect in forthcoming town operations in an interesting exchange with our First Selectman. New Canaan residents are still recovering from the lingering effects of the recession and we expect that Mr. Walker will field some questions about how the real estate market, both residential and commercial, and the financial markets are affecting our Town. Mr. Walker will also field some questions focused on the Town priorities and what we should expect from the First Selectman’s administration going forward.
