St. Luke's School Food Drive for Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County

The St. Luke’s School community is responding to a critical and pressing local need: food.  Kate Parker-Burgard, Director of Community Affairs, received a call from the Director of the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, pleading for help in replenishing the food bank.  "Our shelves are bare," Kate Lombardo has told us.  "Please, we need food.”  In response to this request, St. Luke’s will host a food drive on November 11.  It is a one-day all school food drive blitz.  The request for food has coincided with a national effort of Sodexo, St. Luke’s facilities company.  So, November 11, St. Luke's will be collecting as much food as possible to support this food bank.  We are asking all families who have the means to bring one bag (or more) of food to the school during that time.  Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and welcome from the community at large!
