On June 18, Darien’s Upper Crust Bakery & Café will donate a portion of its proceeds to benefit the upcoming Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) MobilePack™ Event. The restaurant will dedicate a portion of the day’s sales to the cause.
The 2011 Feed My Starving Children MobilePack™ Event will take place on October 1 & 2 at Middlesex Middle School. The event is hosted by the Churches of Darien, along with co-sponsor, the Council for Darien School Parents. More than 1,500 community volunteers will join together to pack over 300,000 lifesaving meals for starving children all over the world, including the recent victims of Japan’s devastating tsunami. That’s a 100,000 more meals than last year’s event! The fundraising goal for this year is $58,000. Volunteer sign-ups will begin in September. Be sure to stop in to Upper Crust Bakery & Café on June 18th to help support FMSC!
