New Canaan Girl Scouts Pitch in at the Food Pantry

A shoutout to the girls in New Canaan Girl Scouts Cadet Troop 50521, who on Thursday helped organize the New Canaan Food Pantry, just in time for the holidays.

For two hours on Thursday, Nov. 21, the girls worked to help sort, stack and restock the shelves to prepare for the upcoming needs this holiday season. The girls also donated toiletries to the Pantry as well.

"The Pantry is in desperate need of food and toiletries for the upcoming winter holiday season," said Troop Leader Jani Salant. "They can really use some donations this time of year—not just food, but diapers, toothpaste, shavers, toothbrushes, sanitary napkins, wipes and toilet paper."

The New Canaan Food Pantry was established by St. Mark's in 2003 and acts a branch of the New Canaan Department of Health and Human Services. To make a donation, please visit 111 Oenoke Ridge or call (203) 966-4515.
