Connecticut's Bounty of Christmas Trees
Patch has compiled an interactive map of the tree farms in the state as listed by the Connecticut Christmas Tree Growers Association.
The thought of a fake Christmas tree may have its appeal --- no muss, no fuss. But despite the extra effort there's really no substitute for the scent of evergreen in the house in anticipation of the holidays. In fact, for many the "extra effort" is a large part of the pleasure of a freshly cut tree.
Throughout Connnecticut, many not too far from New Canaan, are tree farms offering the "cut your own" option. And if you'd rather not climb a mountain with saw in hand, most of these farms also offer fresh cut trees as well.
Click on any Christmas tree icon to find the address, operating dates and hours of the farms. Click on the "X" to close the bubble and check out another farm. Zoom in using the "+" and "-" buttons.
