In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the St. Luke’s community was pleased to welcome back Dave Lemieux and The House of Soul to perform, "At The Table With Dr. King" Friday, January 25. The group also performed at SLS in 2011.
The Middle School and Upper School students listened to live readings, joined in on several songs, and watched an original video of Dr. King’s inspiring “I Have a Dream” speech. According to Lemieux, the show “dramatizes the ‘kitchen table moment’ in Dr. King’s life, using it as both model and catalyst for what can happen when one person hears the call to serve his or her community, overcomes obstacles and lives it out!” To see more photos of the visit this St. Luke's Media Gallery link.
