DNA Results Show Duke is a Premium Mutt

Come down to Stamford Animal Shelter on Magee Ave. and meet our handsome young man, Duke. He is neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and loves everyone!

Duke's DNA results have come and will be available to his new owner. He is a mix of: Rhodesian Ridgeback, French Bulldog and American Staffie – too many breeds to list! We might as well just call Duke a Premium Mutt!

Duke is our "frat boy" -- he's just one big barrel of FUN! And BIG he is: he weighs 66 pounds (and is underweight), standing at 23 inches in shoulder height. He is extremely handsome and just a pleasure to be with; he LOVES everyone!

Although, on evaluation, he reacted strongly to any quick hand or object movement (which could be a sign of abuse in his past), he is ready to forgive and forget and get back to playing! He was found on 10/11/11 and was brought to the Shelter. We're hoping to find a loving home with fun activities for Duke, as he's got a lot to give and would make a great family addition.

The Shelter is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 4 pm, and late on Wednesday evenings (due to OPIN's free dog training at 6:30 pm) - no appointment necessary!

OPIN is fundraising for a better than ever new City Shelter, matching the City funds. Donations can be made online and marked for the "new shelter". Visit us at: www.opinpets.org or email us at: outreach@opinpets.org
