Ozendo of Coldwell Banker Speaks to Women's Council

The buzz is that investors are looking with a eye toward buying. A good and predictive sign. The up-shot of this article on Tracey Ozendo is that it lends credence to hints of market renewal.

Ozendo of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Speaks to Local Realtor Group about Cultural Diversity in Real Estate

Tracey Ozendo spoke to the Southern Fairfield County Women’s Council of Realtors on Oct 10, 2012.  Ozendo, along with two other local real estate professionals, was invited to speak about trends related to foreign-born homebuyers who are arriving in the United States, the communities that they are settling in, and their housing choices and preferences.  She also provided helpful advice and tips on working with immigrants who are purchasing or renting homes in Fairfield County.  Additionally, Ozendo discussed companies that are basing their headquarters throughout Fairfield County and the housing selections of the companies’ foreign-born employees.

“It is critical for anyone dealing with homebuyer clients from other countries to be as sensitive, patient, and helpful as possible.  It is incredibly important to build trust with these clients and realize that oftentimes they are struggling with language barriers and need assistance with basic functions and tasks, said Ozendo.  “It is our job as real estate professionals to guide these clients and produce information not only about the real estate process, but also about local schools and amenities.”

Ozendo began her real estate career in the 1980s in Darien.  She relocated to Europe and spent more than 20 years living in Zurich, Switzerland.  She moved to New Canaan in 2006, and joined the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage New Canaan office in 2011.

“I am very proud of Tracey for delivering such a thoughtful and relevant presentation.  She has incredible insight about helping clients who are relocating from other parts of the world and is a tremendous asset to my team in New Canaan,” said Dave Wilk, sales manager of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage New Canaan office.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a leading residential real estate brokerage company in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y., operates approximately 50 offices with more than 2,100 sales associates serving the communities of Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y.  Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is part of NRT (National Realty Trust) LLC, the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage company.  For more information, please visit www.ColdwellBankerMoves.com.

I just called Staples. This is really disturbing to me. If I don't get a satisfactory answer, IRead More will let people know and I will also decide whether to continue shopping there. I do not like to give my money to unethical businesses.

This has convinced my growing conviction that Patch has moved completely away from any pretense ofRead More being a news source and is simply an electronic bulletin board. By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.
