With summer vacation winding down, and school right around the corner New Canaan can take solace in one thing…football season is back!
The New Canaan Rams look to return to make some noise in the FCIAC and return to the State Playoffs in 2013. Last season the Rams lost to Windsor 27-21 in the Class L semis, ending a string of six consecutive appearances in the championship game.
Led by senior captains Connor Buck, Cole Harris, Michael Root and Joao Rocha as well as standouts Nick Cascione, Ted Bossidy, Zach Allen, Frank Cognetta and Jack Gilio the 2013 Rams are deep and experienced – two things they'll need as they face their toughest schedule in recent memory.

New Canaan kicks off the season on Thursday, September 12th with a non-conference game against state powerhouse and two-time defending Class L champions Daniel Hand Tigers.
Things don’t get much easier for the Rams in the FCIAC, with road games against perennial FCIAC contenders Staples and Greenwich, and course the Turkey Bowl against a resurgent Darien team.

With that said, expect New Canaan to be well-prepared with Head Coach Lou Marinelli entering his 33rd season at the helm.
