Rams take State Class L Playoff opener, 16-7
Coverage of the New Canaan Rams Varsity football team.
The 6th-seeded Rams scored two TD's in the 4th Quarter to beat #3 seed Avon 16-7 in the CIAC Class L Quarterfinal. Nick Cascione and Teddy Bossidy each had a TD pass to lead New Canaan, who will take on the winner of #2 Windsor vs. #7 Fitch in the semis on Sunday. Windsor, who lost to NC in the semis last year, was leading Fitch 19-0 at the half.
