Register Now For New Canaan Historical Society Summer Camp

Travel back in time this summer at the New Canaan Historical Society’s 2013 Colonial Summer Camp. Experience what life was like during colonial times and explore the Historical Society museums, including a colonial home, herb garden, and one-room schoolhouse. Have fun making colonial crafts, playing colonial games, baking delicious old-fashioned snacks, learning about colonial inventions, and discovering New Canaan’s past. Dress up in colonial clothes and learn about a day in the life of a colonial child. Campers can choose from four separate, week-long sessions, each with a different theme. The camp program is designed for girls & boys ages 5-9. Sessions take place: July 15-19 (“A Day in the Life of...”), July 22-26 (“Focus on New Canaan’s History”), July 29-Aug. 2 (“Games & Toys Week”), and Aug. 5- Aug. 9 (“Inventions from Colonial Times”). Camp will be held from 9:15am-12 noon each day at the Hanford-Silliman House, located at 13 Oenoke Ridge in New Canaan. Cost is $200 per week for Historical Society members and $225 per week for non-members. Please call 203-966-1776 or email newcanaan.historical@gmail.com for more information and to register.
