The wishes to thank the sponsors and volunteers who made possible our celebration of National Family Day.
National Family Day—a day to eat dinner with your children—was launched in 2001 by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University. Family Day is a national movement that informs parents that the engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America’s kids substance free.
On Monday, September 26, more than 90 people joined us for dinner and fun family activities, including Bouncing Bears gymnastics and archery.
The Y Family Dinner event was sponsored by New Canaan Youth Services, the , Creative Alternative Designs, Hersam Acorn, and . Special thanks are in order to Walter Stewarts for providing us with a healthy dinner; however, this event would not have been possible without the generosity and commitment of all our sponsors and the amazing volunteers in our community.
We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
