Five Hair Salons in New Canaan

Give your locks some love with a hair appointment in town.

Time for a fresh summer cut? Whether you’re looking for a quick trim, blowout, color change or texturizing treatment, there's a hair salon in New Canaan that will meet your needs. Here are five salons to try for your next hair appointment.

In a converted house near the center of town, Cherry Street's cozy salon reflects the quaint atmosphere of New Canaan and promises a friendly and extremely personal salon experience. The building might be small, but the difference in your hair after highlights or lowlights can be big. All first time clients recieve 10 percnt off any service.

Hairquarters West has been trimming the hair of New Canaanites on Pine Street for over 40 years. With newly renovated spa and salon facilities, the venue offers a relaxed, professional atmosphere. Hairquarters also boasts a variety of packages and spa services, and features l.b.l.a.s.t. card special discounts.

Complete with a traditional barber shop pole, candy machines, and a race car seat for kids- Colonial Barber Shop has a charming, vintage feel with modern day amenities. Relocated from it's former Morse Court store front, the South Avenue shop has been a favorite of New Canaan residents for years and offers frequent discounts on services.

New to the New Canaan salon scene, Salon KiKlo opened its doors on Main Street this February. Formerly Salon 126, the spacious venue offers a variety of services in cutting and coloring, as well as deep conditioning and Japanese hair straightening treatments. Named after the Greek word for "circle,” KiKlo's team of professional stylists say their focus is a "never-ending flow of artistic creativity", a philosophy associated with the Japanese concept of Zen.

Everyone can use a good haircut on occasion- including your pooch. With the hot summer weather finally upon us, now's the time to get your pet prepped for the season. Edwardian Dog Grooming Salon on Cross Street has been providing complete grooming services in New Canaan since 1974. The shop offers pet pick-up and delivery, and sells a variety of natural dog treats, accessories, and toys in addition to their grooming services.

I just called Staples. This is really disturbing to me. If I don't get a satisfactory answer, IRead More will let people know and I will also decide whether to continue shopping there. I do not like to give my money to unethical businesses.

This has convinced my growing conviction that Patch has moved completely away from any pretense ofRead More being a news source and is simply an electronic bulletin board. By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.

New Canaan hockey players are better off playing at Sono, Ridgefield or Stamford Youth Hockey.

welcome to New Canaan. We can waste it better than any other. Anyone need trees. I understandRead More that if you write a letter to the tree warden he will immediately put them in or take them out if you so desire. I would like 4 trees, free alarm monitoring and a sidewalk please.
