Where is the outrage?

As we receive our new town tax invoices which reflects an 11% increase over the last 2 years under the Malozzi administration before factoring in the inefficient re-assessment I am perplexed as to where the public outrage is. Why have our taxes increased so much as many fellow residents struggle and the value of our homes have never recovered from the 2006-2008 crash. Is our executive operating with eyes "wide-shut"? It appears the only financial and managerial expertise in those who govern us is how to spend other people's money. The majority of our town leadership lacks financial and leadership expertise. Do we need a. $20 + million new town hall? Why? How many tennis courts are needed. How many trees need cutting down? I pray that in 2015 we will have a choice for the executive office that both the Democratic and Republican Town Committees will run multiple candidates with financial, managerial and corporate expertise . Running a local shop into the ground just does not qualify for handling a $140,000,000 budget. Just look at your tax bill. And yes the Board of Finance needs to be elected. The BOF needs to answer to the electorate not be in the pocket of the First Selectman who appoints them.
