A Connecticut Light & Power supervisor reported to police on Nov. 26 that someone had taken 10 rolls of copper wire from five different trucks parked at the Lakeview Avenue substation. The supervisor reported the $15,000 theft occurred sometime between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26. There didn’t appear to be forced entry into the area where the trucks were parked.
On Nov. 26, a woman reported to police her purse was stolen out of her unlocked car, which was parked on Cherry Street near South Avenue. The purse, valued at $50, had the woman’s wallet inside of it, which had $80 cash and miscellaneous credit cards inside of it.
A 61-year-old female reported to police that sometime between Nov. 25 and Nov. 27, eight copper downspout gutters—valued at $800—were removed from outside a home on Ferris Hill Road.
