19-Year-Old New Canaan Woman Faces Felony Narcotics Charges in Greenwich

21 bags of heroin in car belonged to driver she was riding with, according to Greenwich police.

A New Canaan woman accompanying a man from Norwalk both face felony drug charges lodged by Greenwich Police who originally stopped them for a motor vehicle violation. The arrests, made March 30, were released by police on Wednesday.

According to police, the couple was pulled over for an unspecified motor vehicle violation at 6 p.m. March 30 on Ritch Avenue, near the Connecticut Turnpike. The passenger, identified as Karissa Noel Willett, 19, of 14 Urban St., told narcotics officers “she knew the operator was there for the purposes of delivering drugs.”

The driver, identified as Brian M. LaRocco, 22, of 40 E. Purdy Road, “admitted to being in possession of 21 packages of heroin,” according to the police report. LaRocco was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, criminal attempt at the sale of narcotics, conspiracy at possession of narcotics, conspiracy at possession of narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy at the sale of narcotics, all felonies; and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Willett was charged with felony conspiracy at possession of narcotics, conspiracy at possession of narcotics with intent to sell and conspiracy at sale of narcotics.

Both were released on promises to appear April 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
