Cash and Electronics Stolen from Richmond Hill Road Home

A resident of Richmond Hill Road wasn't hopeful that reporting such an old matter to police would help, but she told police anyway that hundreds of dollars in cash and three expensive digital devices seem to have been stolen from her home.

The 45-year-old woman said $500 in cash was missing, along with an iPod valued at $299 and two iPod Touch devices, each valued at $349. That totals out to $1,097 for the devices and $1,697 overall.

The victim believes the devices were taken in October, and a number of people had been in the home in the meantime, but she had no idea who would have taken the items. She said she hadn't reported the theft because she didn't think it was worthwhile.

It was unclear from the New Canaan police briefing why she eventually did report it.
