CT Governor Orders Flags At Half-Staff
Governor Malloy orders flags at half-staff on Sunday for fallen firerfighters.
Governor Dannel P. Malloy has ordered U.S. and Connecticut flags to fly at half-staff on Sunday to pay tribute to the sacrifices of firefighters and other first responders and to honor the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
“On Sunday, we pause to reflect on the sacrifices that have been made by our firefighters and other emergency services personnel who respond to fires and other emergencies,” said Governor Malloy. “Our firefighters risk their lives every day to keep our communities and citizens safe—it is an honor to recognize their courage and commitment to the state and the nation.”
Sunday marks the end of National Fire Prevention Week. President Obama has ordered U.S. flags to fly at half-staff on Sunday, also in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.
