The officer reported that DeMarco’s breath allegedly smelled of alcohol and he had bloodshot, glassy eyes, said Ogrinc.

The officer allegedly found a half empty bottle of vodka, a small piece of marijuana cigarette, a small amount of loose marijuana on the floor of the vehicle, and a pack of rolling papers, said Ogrinc.

After allegedly failing a field sobriety test, DeMarco was arrested and brought to the police department in New Canaan, where he was charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, said Ogrinc.

The passenger, 17 years old, was issued an infraction for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Ogrinc.

DeMarco posted his $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 12, said Ogrinc.
