Westport police arrested a Norwalk man after officers saw his vehicle cross over the double yellow line several times. The officer could distinctly smell alcohol on his breath and the driver subsequently submitted to a breath test with the following results: .201 and .191.

Darien Police said they stopped a car on Nov. 14 after an officer saw the rear license-plate light was out and the car went over the double yellow line on a road. When an officer smelled marijuana smoke and saw a clear plastic bag of marijuana in the car, it was searched, according to a police report.

Police said  the driver's pants pocket, in the pockets of two doors, in the sunglasses compartment, near the back seat, in a duffel bag in the car, and in a cooler in the trunk. Also in the car were a smoking pipe, a marijuana grinder, a cigarette roller, many small, unused, clear plastic bags, a digital scale, other scales and a "blunt"—a cigar hollowed-out and filled with marijuana, according to police. All in all, police said, 457 grams of marijuana were found in the car, just over a pound. The 22-year-old Bridgeport man driving the car was arrested. His car, a 2004 Nissan Sentra, was seized.
