Fatal Car Accident on Ponus Ridge Road
Police say driver was trapped in wreckage; died at hospital.
Police say one person died Friday night following a car accident in the area of 1544 Ponus Ridge Rd.
Police received a 911 call reporting the crash at 10:40 p.m.
In a news release, police say the lone occupant was trapped in the wreckage. The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital and succumbed to his or her injuries.

Police are not providing further information about the deceased pending notification of family.
Accident investigators from New Canaan and Wilton police responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
