Grumman Ave. Shooting Investigation Still Underway

Police are still interviewing the involved parties.


It remains to be seen whether charges will be filed after a single bullet discharged from a rifle during a struggle between a husband and wife, injuring them both at their Grumman Avenue residence in Wilton last Monday.

Wilton Police Captain John Lynch said Tuesday officers are still "in the process of trying to interview both parties" involved in the shooting and are still working with State Attorney's office in Stamford to see if criminal charges will be filed. 

According to police, the 47-year-old male and his 39-year-old wife were fighting over a rifle when it discharged, injuring them both in their faces. The woman was able to run to her neighbor's house where she called 911. 

Police said the man sustained "life-threatening injuries." 

Gary Lorentson, who owns the property at 35 Grumman Avenue, said the husband and wife have lived their with their two teenage children since December 2010. He
