A 17-year-old Darien girl and an 18-year-old New Canaan man were issued infractions on May 8 for alleged possession of marijuana, police said.

A patrolling officer allegedly found Troy Lynch, 18, and his female companion parked in the train station’s upper parking lot on Talmadge Hill Road, police said.

According to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, the officer reported that there was a great deal of movement toward the center console of the vehicle when he drove in sight of Lynch and the female driver.

The officer reported smelling marijuana when he approached the vehicle and asked the girl and Lynch to exit the vehicle, at which point the officer reported finding a zip-loc bag containing a small amount of marijuana in a pipe between the driver’s seat and center console and another zip-loc bag with a small amount of marijuana in Lynch’s pocket, both items belonging to Lynch, said Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

The officer also reported finding the female driver’s pipe containing marijuana in her purse, police said.
