Here's the first installment of a new weekly video feature with Officer Mary Ann Kleinschmitt. She's head of the New Canaan Police Department's animal control unit.
New Canaan is an animal-loving town, with a specialty shop for pet owners, local nonprofit organizations dedicated to rescue and its own dog park that draws people from all over the county.
We'll look for tips from Kleinschmitt, who has a unique perspective on such matters, for pet owners and other residents of the town. And we'll tag this series under the "Animal Reports" column with our other running tab on activity (scroll down) with Kleinschmitt and her team. Enjoy!
