New Canaan Girl Pulls Knife on Twin Brother

A dispute erupted between the siblings at their East Avenue residence and the police were called.

A teenage boy and girl were arrested on August 25 by New Canaan police after a dispute got out of hand, police said.

A 17-year-old girl and her twin brother got into an altercation in which the brother allegedly was punching his sister and the girl was allegedly punching and kicking her brother, said Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

The situation escalated when the girl allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened her brother with it, said Ogrinc.

The brother was charged with third-degree assault (misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct and his sister was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, and disorderly conduct, said Ogrinc.

Both were released on the promise to appear to their August 28 court hearing at juvenile court in Stamford, police said.

Sad when you hear Kids fighting like that. Especially, brother/sister. I have they both have reconciled and are OK.

If a kid as young as him pulls a knIfe on his Own sister what wil happen next this should be looked at very carefully and shows lack of prenatal supar vision

You, sir, are an idiot.

I'm guessing they both had 24/7 prenatal supervision. And the sister pulled the knife.

I think the word you are looking for is parental. Prenatal supervision would happen before birth(usually in an OB/GYN office).

Dear Dave, 1) There are many residents of New Canaan that take their lives and their responsibilities(including job and family)very seriously. While it is a fact that people from both sexes have had extra-marital affairs it is unfair to state that an entire town is guilty of this or any behavior no matter how prevalent it is in our current society. 2) We do not know what caused the disagreement between these siblings but it is clear that the help of a professional Psychologist or Social Worker would be helpful and may enable them to address the problem that forced this to escalate to a level where one or both of them could have been killed. Whatever caused the problem was probably something that needs to be addressed NOW. I hope for the sake of the entire family the problem or problems can be worked out. (3) People need to stop jumping to unfounded conclusions based on where people live, their religious beliefs and/or the color of their skin. These problems were addressed decades ago and we should not go backward now that excellent progress has been made since the 1960's.

See what happens when inbreeding occurs. That old genepool in New caanan is not very diluted. When the misfits only procreate amongst themselves, not allowing outsiders onto their hollowed grounds, this is what happens. Btw why does every N.C mommy look eaxctly like the next N.C mommy -all very very plain. Saw a super hot Latina downtown ,nice skin ,hot body- those N.C.biotches were all staring and were they Jealous -WOW.

Your social commentary must be interesting to you. Perhaps you have been inspired by Vance Packard. Has psychiatric theory changed much since you completed your training? You must also be very discerning in your appreciation of women's appearance, too. People who are new to New Canaan tell me there are very many attractive women in this town but apparently they don't meet your standards. Are you sure you saw a Latina and not someone recently returned from a sunny place or a tanning bed? Perhaps you should have spoken to this woman and explained why you were staring at her. Then you could have asked her if she speaks English. Your spelling and punctuation are almost very good, too. Your slang sent me to the Urban Dictionary. You have some words and spellings which are too advanced even for its translations. Thank you for your reflections. Come back again when you are in season.

What a sad thing to say. You have no idea what was going on within this house. I have always believed the only time to look down on another is when you are offering your hand to help them up. Take a look in the mirror and you might find out something about yourself.
