New Canaan police released on Tuesday new information on the forcible burglary of a downtown jewelry store last week, including the approximate value of the items stolen and a description of the vehicle the suspects may have used to escape the scene.
On November 6, the Henry C. Reid & Sons Jewelers at 72 Elm Street had the front window smashed out and a number of items stolen from the window display there. Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said one of the four suspects believed to be involved in the raid took three watches valued at more than $55,000.
Ogrinc said three Rolex watches were stolen, listed as the following models:
- Silver Index, $9,100
- Champagne with Diamonds, $10,650
- Champagne Roman: $35,850
According to Ogrinc, a silver Acura MDX with New York license plates is a vehicle of interest in the case. Authorities have also released video and photos of the suspects in the case on Nov. 7 seen above.
