New Canaan Man, 30, Faces Drunk Driving Charge

Police arrested a 30-year-old New Canaan by warrant following a pre-dawn motor vehicle accident from February.

Tyler W. Head, of 2-112 West Avalon Drive, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. on April 17 and charged with operating under the influence as well as cited for failure to drive right.

Police served the warrant after receiving the results of hospital toxicology tests on Head's blood-alcohol level, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department.

Head is accused of being drunk when he flipped a Subaru wagon at 12:46 a.m. on Feb. 8 at Farm Road and South Avenue, police said.

No one was injured and Head was still in the car when police came upon the accident, Ogrinc said.

He was released on $300 bond and scheduled to appear April 26 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
