New Canaan Man, 42, Cited for Pot Possession

Police say he was driving erratically in downtown New Canaan, near Park and Pine Streets, and they found marijuana on him during a subsequent motor vehicle stop.

 

Police cited a 42-year-old New Canaan man for possession of marijuana, less than .5 ounces, at 3:43 p.m. on March 25.

An officer smelled marijuana in a car operated by William R. Olsen of Bald Hill Road after stopping him on Smith Ridge Road for driving erratically, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department.

Olsen was alone in the vehicle, where police found a clear baggie of marijuana, Ogrinc said.
