Suzan Obernier, 54, of Norwalk, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on March 4 and charged with operating under the influence.
She failed field sobriety tests after police stopped her for driving in the wrong lane on East Avenue and then running a stop sign at New Norwalk Road and Lakeview Avenue, according to Lt. Vince DeMaio of the New Canaan Police Department.
An officer smelled alcohol on Obernier while speaking to her, DeMaio said.
She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear March 15 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.

Police cited Christian Otero, 29, of Norwalk, at 1:10 p.m. on March 5 for possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They found a small amount of marijuana and grinder in the center console of Otero’s car after stopping him on New Norwalk Road at East Avenue for having an obstructed windshield—meaning the objects hanging from the rearview mirror blocked his view, according to DeMaio.
