A New Canaan woman was arrested Sunday after state police allegedly caught her littering on I-684.
Katricia Schmidt, 26, was stopped by New York State troopers on the highway in the town of Bedford at 2:50 a.m. Sunday morning.
During their investigation, police said they discovered Schmidt to be in possession of Clonazepam, a seizure medication for which she did not have a prescription.
Police said they found 97 pills in all.
Schmidt was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is scheduled for an appearance in Bedford Court on August 23 at 7 p.m.
Don't rush to judgement.

As can virtually any drug. What a stupid comment. Especially since as drugs go, it's actually quite difficult to overdose on benzodiazepines.
