Over $12,000 Stolen from White Oak Shade Rd Home

Multiple TVs and large furniture were walked right out of the home, which is currently for sale.

 

The realtor overseeing the sale of a White Oak Shade Road home reported to New Canaan police on July 26 that multiple items were missing from the home, police said. 

The items missing include: a 60-inch Sony flat screen TV (approx. $2,000), a 60-inch Sharp flat screen TV (approx. $2,000),  two Sony 45-inch flat screen TVs (approx. $1,200 each), a Sharp 30-inch TV (approx. $500) two small, blue chairs valued (approx. $300 each) a blue and beige striped couch (approx. $1,700) and three mattress/box spring sets (approx. $3,000 total).

The home was unlocked and therefore not broken into when items were take, said Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, and it was on July 25 that the homeowner noticed some television sets missing. 

The home has had workers and prospective buys coming in and out the last few days, said Ogrinc.

Police are investigating the incident, said Ogrinc.
