Police Arrest 3, Seize 14 Pounds of Pot

Two men are charged after they come searching for drug package police have already confiscated.

New Canaan and Stamford police worked together to arrest three men on charges of trying to sell a large package of marijuana.

Shortly before 2 p.m. on July 21, officers arrested Ricky Sullins, 34, of New Rochelle, NY, after learning that a 14-pound package of marijuana was being delivered to an Elm Street address where he was working. Sullins was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana near a school, and intent to sell or distribute marijuana.

Later that evening, police said they learned that two other men were trying to locate the marijuana package. Officers arrested Toland L. Coy, 26, and David A. Bennett, 22, both of the Bronx, NY. Coy and Bennett were charged with conspiracy to possess marijuana, criminal attempt to possess marijuana, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, and criminal attempt to distribute marijuana.
