Police Blotter: A Quiet Holiday

Just two cases made it onto the blotter this week.

Teen Arrested after Fight with Parents:

A 15-year-old boy got physical while arguing with his mother and father around 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at a residence on Cross Ridge Road, according to a police report. Blows to his father resulted in a minor injury. The teen was charged with third degree assault and third degree assault on a person over 60 (the father in this case). He appeared in juvenile court the next day.

Officer Running Radar Makes DWI Arrest:

An officer stopped Paul M. Masters, 55, of South Salem Road in Ridgefield on Smith Ridge Road at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday for driving above the posted 40 mph speed limit. According to a police report, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol when he approached Masters and the operator showed other signs of intoxication. After conducting field sobriety tests, Masters was arrested and then charged with operating under the influence and speeding. He posted $250 bond and is due in Norwalk Court Jan. 4, 2010.
