A Lakeview Avenue woman became the victim of a scam after trying to sell a diamond ring on-line through Craigslist.

She said the buyer sent her an e-mail with what appeared to be a PayPal screen indicating they had overcharged him by $200, so he asked her to reimburse him the $200 when she sent the ring.

The woman sent both by Western Union, and later realized she was involved in a bogus transaction.
