Case of the missing ring

On Feb. 13, a resident on Briscoe Road reported that a platinum Tiffany wedding band was missing from his home. According to the police report, the victim believed the ring was stolen on January 9 but did not report it because he "didn't have anything to go on."

However, after reading about the recent arrest of a man for allegedly stealing diamonds from the rings of another resident, he filed a complaint with the New Canaan Police Department. After checking his records, he told police officials the same man who was arrested for the aforementioned theft, had done work at his home in November 2009 and January 2010.
