Police Release Identities of Park Street Shooting Victims

James Owen, 48, and Billie D. Faigout-Owen, 52, were found dead inside of an apartment at 131 Park Street Friday afternoon, according to police.

 

The victims of a double shooting at a Park Street complex in New Canaan Friday afternoon have been identified as James Owen, 48, and Billie D. Faigout-Owen, 52, according a statement released by Captain Leon Krolikowski.

A preliminary investigation shows that Mr. Owen shot Mrs. Owen and then Mr. Owen shot himself, Captain Leon Krolikowski said. Both bodies were transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office where autopsies will be performed, according to the statement.

Officers discovered the bodies at 131 Park Street Friday afternoon after responding to reports of gunshots fired, according to a statement released by Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

Additional information about the shooting will not be available until probably Monday, according to Krolikowski.
